Admissions in Pre-School will begin from 21st January, 2015. The age of the child should be 3 years as on 31st March 2015. The parents are requested to get their ward registered in school in the month of January. Details are given in the Admission Policy given below.
Admission tests for other classes except XI are conducted in the last week of March every year. The students who wish to take admission in our school must get themselves registered in the first week of March every year. The admissions in class XI are given after the board results are announced on the basis of marks in class X exam and in the admission test conducted in the school. Documents required at the time of admission are as follows—
1. T.C. (from a recognized school in original)
2. Report Card
3. Birth Certificates(issued by registrar of Birth)
4. Caste Certificates (for SC/ ST / OBC)
5. Proof of residence
6. Disability Certificate (if applicable)
Academics
The emphasis is laid on speech and language development which enables the child to communicate. This paves the way for the child's mainstreaming. The CBSE curriculum is being followed till secondary level. Open school which has semester system is implemented at Secondary level. The educational needs of these children are catered to by a qualified team. Selected children are sent for academic integration.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES-
ART COMPETITION ON ENVIRONEMNT
On 31st August,2014 our School in association with Hityog Sewa Samiti, C R Park, New Delhi organized an Art Competition in our School. About 100 students from different Schools participated in two cateogires and the topic was ?Medical Plants ? Environment & We?. Our 35 students from both the General and Special Wing participated in this event under the guidance of Mrs. Rekha and Mrs. Urmila Chadda, Art & Craft Teachers of our School.
TIMES NIE NEWSMAKERS MEET
On 29th August,2014 The Times of India under the NIE Programme in association with Manav Rachna University, Faridabad organized the Times NIE Newsmaker?s Meet. Two students of our School and one teacher attended this meet. During the meet, budding book reviewers interacted with the Resident Editor-The Times of India Mr. Vikas Singh, and Ms. Rahika Dhariwal, the author of ''The Petpost Secret''. It is hearteing to share that both our students Master Sudipto Ghosh (IX) and Master Shubham Jani (X) have been nominated as the Times NIE Reporters for the academic session 2014-2015 under the Time NIE School Reporters Programme. It was indeed a very interactive programme.
ZONAL GROUP SONG COMPETITION
On 28th August,2014, Zonal Group Song Compeition for Boys was organized by the Directorate of Education in SKV No-2, Kalkaji, New Delhi. Twenty students from Senior Wing participated under the able guidance of Mrs. Sonal Rastogi, Music Teacher. It is very heartening to mention that our School bagged the First Prize in this Zonal Competition.
SCIENCE FIESTA-2014
On 22nd and 23rd August,2014, the Science Depatment of our School organized the ?Science Fiesta-2014 : a fair of wonders in the School. Various Science Activities were conducted during this Fiesta like Occulation, Recitation, National Science Congress, Science Toons, Science Exhibition, Paint-Holic and Science Mosaics on different issues and topics. The Fiesta was inaugurated by the Chairman of the School Managing Committee Admiral R.H. Tahiliani(Retd), Former Chief of the Naval Staff & Former Governor of Sikkim. Gp.Capt. S.C. Bahri(Retd), Director-cum-Manager, Shri A.K. Tripathi, Principal, Mrs. Deepa Misra, Vice Principal and Mrs. Geeta Mallick, Co-Ordinator(SW) graced the occasion. The students from both the wings, General and Special enthusiastically participated in different events.
SUMMER HOBBY CLASSES
In the summer vacation the school trained about 100 students of both the wings ? General & Special in various Sports and Games,Yoga, Music, Dance, Computers, Art & Craft. Our children played a friendly cricket match with Vijay Mehra Cricket Academy. On the last day i.e. 31st May,2014 a brief cultural programme was presented by the children in the Savitri Devi Auditorium. Gp. Capt.S.C. Bahri-Director,Smt. Deepa Misra-Vice Principal, Smt. Geeta Mallick-Co Ordinator(SW) and parents of the children graced the occasion and enjoyed the programme. The Director addressed the children, parents and staff.
