Odisha extends application deadline for Common PG Entrance Test 2026 till March 18
Bhubaneswar: The deadline for submitting applications for the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) 2026 in Odisha has been extended till March 18, 2026, providing relief to aspiring postgraduate students.Students can submit CAF on SAMS portal till 11:45 PM on March 18According to an official release issued on Monday, candidates can now fill up their Common Application Form (CAF) for the entrance examination through the SAMS portal until 11:45 PM on March 18.Earlier, the last date for submitting applications for the CPET was March 15. However, considering the larger interest and future prospects of students, the Higher Education Department decided to extend the deadline.Students seeking admission into postgraduate courses for the academic session 2026–27 will have to appear for the CPET to secure seats in universities and colleges across the state.CPET exams for PG admissions to be held from April 27 to May 10The entrance examinations for various postgraduate subjects are scheduled to be conducted from April 27 to May 10, 2026. Admissions to PG courses will be based on the marks obtained in the CPET.The Higher Education Department has also set a target to begin postgraduate classes in all universities and colleges across the state by July 10, 2026. The move aims to ensure the timely completion of academic sessions, examinations and the declaration of results, ultimately benefiting students across Odisha.
